No tourists are being hospitalized in Cabo

Los Cabos Hotel Association reported that no guest has been sent to a hospital since the reopening. There are currently 3 residents at private hospitals in Cabo.

70% of the hospital beds in Cabo are in use

85 persons are being hospitalized with COVID-19 in Cabo. More than 120 hospital beds are available in Cabo. 3 of 22 private hospital beds are occupied.

Cabo's Firfighters need your support

10% of hospitalized cases are being transferred by the Red Cross and Firefighters. Cabo's firefighters are offering sanitization services for homes and offices: +52 (624) 143 3577.

Less COVID infections in Cabo this week

Los Cabos has had an average of 29 new COVID cases a day this week, whereas during the last week, the average was 32 cases a day: COVID Board.

More than 20,000 jobs lost in BCS

20,000 formal jobs and 15,000 informal jobs were lost in BCS due to COVID-19. 5,400 formal jobs used to be created every month; in June, 2,000 jobs were created.

1st convention since the pandemic, successful

90 meeting planners met at the Hard Rock Los Cabos' convention hall to discuss the implementation of protocols in events. Sanitary protocols were satisfactorily observed.

Crime decreased 25% in Cabo, from '19 to '20

From January to June, there were  1,186 prosecution's investigation files in 2020, whereas in 2019 there were 1,583 in the same period: Los Cabos Security Board.

11,034 COVID tests implemented in BCS

The daily average has been increasing: from 143 tests on July 17 to 195 on July 28. Almost twice as many tests are implemented in La Paz when compared to Cabo.

Cabo Pulmo opens beach and activities

A phone reservation is required: +52 (624) 159 0935. At the entrance, visitors must wear a mask, be taken temperature and fill-up a questionnaire. Only 4 per-sons per boat are allowed.

32 deaths from COVID in BCS in a week

There used to be a weekly average of 10 deaths from COVID-19 in BCS. This week, 32 deaths from COVID took place (18.8% of the total 170 deaths from COVID in BCS).

81 COVID patients hospitalized in BCS

180 persons are hospitalized with COVID-19 in BCS. Hospital 26 in San Lucas is the hospital with more COVID patients in BCS (45): 8 are intubated.

3 million tourists could arrive to Cabo in 2020

Last year, 4.2 million tourists arrived to Cabo. This year, we were expecting 4.5 million, but this number may be reduced to 3 million; 3.5 million at most: BCS' Tourism Ministry.

Face masks are now mandatory in Cabo

Cabo's City Council approved yesterday the mandatory use of masks in public spaces and at government buildings. There will be no sanctions.

30 flights a day to and from SJD Airport

The frequency of flights and the number of routes to and from Los Cabos Airport have been gradually increasing. American and Alaskan Airlines have one flight a day.

9 deaths from COVID-19 in just one day in BCS

The number of deaths from COVID-19 increased 5.7% in just one day in BCS: from 158 yesterday to 167 today. Three of these deaths happened in Cabo, where this quantity increased from 44 to 47.

Cabo's City Council will have an extraordinary session in order to discuss diverse strategies to control COVID-19 infections, including the mandatory use of masks.

BCS' Gov't has spent $120 Mi Pesos on COVID

BCS' Health Ministry has spent $120 Mi Pesos in the control and prevention of COVID-19. The greatest sum was spent on San Lucas' mobile hospital.

Fire in CSL's Marina consumes yacht

A fire in the docks of Marina Cabo San Lucas left one yacht totally destroyed this morning. No injuries were reported. The authorities are investigating the causes.
